Dear Friend,
Does this sound like you? You're an amateur rider who dreams of becoming a rider strongly connected to your horse. Currently, you're focused on understanding training principles and having great communication with your horse, right?
So, let me ask you a question...
Would you be ecstatic if you could have a responsive, amazing partnership with your horse, focus on riding and handling without dealing with frustrating issues, and have a toolbox of strategies to work with to understand, then ultimately solve the issue?
Because if you could do those things, ultimately, that would mean you could have a great connection with your horse and feel good about your ability to communicate well and solve behavioural problems! (Which would be amazing!)
Unfortunately, I also get the sense there may be some roadblocks for you here, including figuring out how to:
* Solve certain behavioural problems with your horse;
* Stay safe while training your horse and moving through some problem areas; and
* Learn to approach problem behaviour systematically.
Sound familiar?
Maybe you're really frustrated by the fact that your horse doesn't stay on the bridle, or your horse reacts poorly to changes in the arena? Maybe your horse is frustrating to handle or catch?
Do you constantly ask yourself these questions about how to move forward?:
* How do I know what to do when I'm approaching
problems with my horse?
* How do I keep my horse steady on the bridle and
focused on me while I ride?
* How do I improve bad habits that my horse already
has?
One last question...
Do you ever find yourself thinking "I don't have the skills to do that"... or "my horse has been doing it so long it won't change now"... or "I don't have the time to put into training my horse"? I know I did!
And finally, to make matters seem even worse, sometimes it just feels like there's pressure to take your horse to a "cowboy" or have your horse "round-penned" to solve major behavioural problems that are "beyond an average horse owner". You have to become a bonafide Horse Whisperer to have success with understanding core training principles and to be able to ask incredible things of your horse.
Well, let me tell you, I know exactly how you feel because I've been there myself... more than once!
When all is said and done, my guess is you really just want to catch your horse, take her or ride her anywhere, feel comfortable handling him in all situations, have an amazing partnership with your horse, and grow as a rider and horse-person. Yes?
If this sounds at all like you and your situation, then I'd like to invite you to check out...
